Biography

Lisa M. Rossmiller, senior counsel in the Houston office, has an international, federal, state and local tax practice.

Lisa's practice involves all phases of state, federal and international tax planning. Her tax planning and international commercial engagements have included:

  • Structuring, planning and documenting inbound and outbound business transactions
  • Work on offshore transactions and foreign trusts
  • Transfer pricing documentation and analysis
  • Licensing agreements and income sourcing
  • Tax treaty analysis
  • Tax deferral structures
  • International employment and services tax planning
  • Controversy work

Lisa also regularly advises tax-exempt organizations on planning and compliance matters.  Lisa counsels tax-exempt organizations on a variety of matters covering the entire life cycle of an exempt organization including advising on formation and choice of entity issues, preparation and advocacy in obtaining tax-exempt status from the IRS, advising on compliance and reporting issues and providing guidance to boards regarding corporate governance issues.  Representation includes advising on grant making, pledges, naming rights and art loans.  Lisa acts as national Co-Vice Chair of Women In Norton Rose (WiN).
