Biography

Ethan Glenn has litigated complex civil and criminal matters in state and federal courts at both the trial and the appellate level. He has accrued a diverse range of litigation experiences and skills that allow him to uniquely serve clients’ interests and achieve fast, successful resolutions to complicated disputes.

Before joining the firm, Ethan completed judicial clerkships for Chief Judge Alia Moses at the US District Court for the Western District of Texas and US Magistrate Judge Renee Toliver at the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas and worked in the Office of the Attorney General for the state of Texas.

  • Negotiated settlement of outstanding claims and purchase agreement between multiple parties for limited liability company and associated individuals in seven-figure asset sale
  • Defended entity and individuals against class action claims brought under the Lanham Act in federal court
  • Investigated Fortune 100 companies for antitrust violations
  • Defended international gaming company against wide-ranging claims related to breach of contracts, intellectual property issues, and trade secret misappropriation in federal court
  • Represented group of limited liability companies and managing members in suit brought by former business partners and employees, achieved successful resolution
  • Prosecuted state enforcement actions arising from violations of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and related statutes.
  • Prevailed on Rule 91a motion to dismiss and no-evidence motion for summary judgment for client company on various breach of contract and fraud claims claims brought by former employee
  • Procured remand of case back to favorable state court jurisdiction after defendant removed case to federal court
  • Compelled Fortune 50 company to produce corporate representative to testify regarding potential spoliation of evidence
  • Represented state agencies in suits challenging statutory interpretation and appeals of administrative decisions 
  • Obtained preliminary injunction and writ of sequestration, and successfully defended both at trial and appellate level, for client company against former employee regarding ownership and use of disputed property
  • Argued and won motion to stay Section 1983 claim brought against municipal client in federal court
  • Secured complete dismissal of customer's Deceptive Trade Practices Act claims and related claims against client company on Rule 91a motion to dismiss
  • Successfully defended against defendant's motion to transfer lawsuit to unfavorable venue for client non-profit entity
