Norton Rose Fulbright among Canada’s Top 100 Employers for second year running
Recognition | November 7, 2017
Norton Rose Fulbright’s first-rate employment conditions and work environment once again earned us a place on the list of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.
We are only one of two law firms recognized in the 2018 edition of the national competition which showcases companies deemed to “lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces for their employees.”
This distinction speaks to the quality of programs Norton Rose Fulbright has put in place in recent years to attract and retain top-tier talent, especially young professionals under 30 who represent some 20 per cent of our full-time employees.
These programs include a number of wellness initiatives that address physical as well as mental health, such as our National Fitness challenge and Not Myself Today, and which are designed to help our people handle the stress associated with a fast-paced, high-stakes profession such as ours.
In 2016, Norton Rose Fulbright was in fact a pioneer among law firms in Canada in providing mental health first aid training.
Through awareness campaigns and proactive actions, we constantly endeavour to promote and achieve greater inclusivity, diversity and equity.
In our Canadian offices, 71 per cent of our managerial positions are occupied by women while 66 per cent of our people are women.
Capitalizing on our global strengths
Norton Rose Fulbright understands that good business outcomes go hand in hand with employee growth.
We offer an extensive, externally accredited global learning and development curriculum. Master classes give lawyers as well as business services professionals the tools they need to successfully navigate their career paths within the organization.
Our offices in more than 50 cities across six continents open the door to a world of mobility opportunities.
As a progressive law firm, we are investing in standardizing and scaling up our systems around the world to make it easier for employees to provide our clients a full service experience that is second to none.
Canada’s Top 100 Employers is an editorial competition run by Mediacorp Canada Inc., publisher of employment-related periodicals. Winners are announced in a special supplement published by the Globe and Mail.
